Adding Fractions

As with comparing fractions, you can't add fractions unless they are the same size.

The graphics used throughout these exercises are at an intermediate level of abstraction so as to provide a bridge between familiar experiences and basic concepts.

Rather than memorizing a laundry list of rules for each topic, that are soon forgotten or confused as rules steadily accumulate, thinking concretely using basic principles provides a foundation that will carry over to higher-level math and science.
